Under 11 IAPS National Netball Finals: March 2018

We were delighted that our U11 Girls’ Netball Team qualified for the IAPS National Netball Finals for the 6th consecutive year. After some hard fought and well played matches, the girls came 2nd in their region and so qualified to go through to the finals in Basildon, where the 40 best teams in the country were competing for the winner’s trophy.

There was some very stiff competition and we were proud to see our girls finish 8th in their group. Well done to them all!

Inter-House Rugby Matches

On Wednesday 8th November, the senior boys took part in the Inter-House Rugby competition. They performed with great skill, and all behaved in a very sporting and courageous way.

After a tightly contested group stage, Simpson and Ravenstone contested the final. After a hard fought first half, Simpson triumphed and were well deserved winners. Well done to all involved!

U11 Football and Hockey

Our U11 Football and Hockey teams travelled to Arnhem on Monday 16th October for our annual Sports Tour.

They stayed in the National Sports Centre at the Papendal Hotel. All the children received top coaching at Vitesse Football Club and Upward Hockey Club. The boys played some impressive football and won all their games whilst the girls received a masterclass from the junior Dutch teams and fought back to win their last match. They also had a fantastic day at the Efteling Theme Park. A memorable week was had by everyone and we are now deciding where to go next year.

Under 11 Hockey Tournament

image2image1The Under 11 girls took part in an IAPS regional tournament at Repton School in October.  They played well against 8 other schools.

 

U8 Rugby

rugbyU8On Friday 6th October, the Under 8A rugby team went to Bedford Modern School for their annual rugby tournament. The boys won 2 and drew 1, beating both Akeley Wood and Bedford Modern School to finish top of the table and subsequently win the tournament.

Well done boys, an outstanding performance!

Pre-Prep Sports Day

Pre-Prep Sports Day took place on Tuesday 4th July 2017. Children from 2 ½ to 7 years old competed in their different year groups and enjoyed the fun of a range of races.
Years 1 and 2 competed for their Houses and the winning House was Ravenstone.

Prep Sports Day

Prep Sports Day took place on Friday 30th June 2017.

Rounders Match

The under 11A girls’ Rounders team has enjoyed a very successful term, powering their way to victory against some stiff opposition.

Super-league Netballer visit to MK Prep

On Wednesday 29th March the Seniors girls were fortunate enough to participate in a Netball Workshop run by current South African International and Super-league Netballer Bongiwe Msomi.
