Today our Year 3 children enjoyed a fantastic cross curricular day, learning all about Ancient Egypt.
D & T skills were put to good use making a shaduf and in History, the children used Drama to re-enact Tutankhamun’s last days.
The children were able to make some papyrus and an Egyptian Mummy. They also turned their own profile photo into an Egyptian King.
A fun morning was had by all!
The Parents’ Association organised a sale of 2nd hand children’s books for children of all ages in February 2018. They loved browsing and selecting something exciting to read and a total of £200 was raised for the Children’s Ward at Milton Keynes Hospital.
All Pre-Reception age children enjoyed a morning packed with activities about Bears, their current topic. They brought their bears to school to join in the fun and to be part of their Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
During their trip to Waddesdon Manor in December, the Reception Year
children spent some time making their own Christmas decoration and learning how to decorate and assemble it.
They also visited the house itself and had great fun finding the numbered
baubles in each room. They enjoyed looking at all the spectacularly
decorated rooms, particularly enjoying the bathroom with the seal in the
The Christmas Fair was a memorable and enjoyable afternoon, with stalls, games, challenges and Santa’s Grotto. It was a fantastic afternoon and thanks must go to the ladies of the Parents’ Association for its organisation and huge success. £1400 was raised for the Children’s Ward at Milton Keynes Hospital. Thank you to everyone else who helped and supported the occasion!
