Armistice Day MK Rose

Class 11 attended the annual Act of Remembrance and Wreath Laying for Armistice Day at the MK Rose. We listened to poems and songs and we very privileged to meet some War veterans. A very special occasion for Class 11.

Staff v Under 11 pupils took part in a Netball Match for Children in Need. After some interesting interpretation of the rules, the staff won by a narrow margin!

On the 10th November all the Class 10’s took part in a cross curricular day for Science, D+T and CTS.
On Friday the 30th September class 7s visited the Cecil Higgins Museum in Bedford.
In June our 3 year olds enjoyed their outing to Rookery Farm, in Stoke Bruerne, where they met lots of animals.
In the summer term Year 3 visited the Recycling Centre in Milton Keynes, to learn what all sorts of recycled materials can be turned into.
In June 2016, for their end of year trip, Year 2 spent a day exploring Salcey Forest.
On Friday 10th June the children celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with a variety of activities including a Street Party.
On Monday 13th June the prep department enjoyed a cello and double bass demonstration recital by Mrs Wendy Lambros, one of our visiting instrumental teachers.
In connection with their topic on Plants and Growth, Year 1 children held a Plant Sale in May, selling a variety of garden and vegetable plants. They all enjoyed their turn as shopkeepers and adding up the money.
Proceeds are to be divided between Jamie’s Rhythm of Life and Helping Paws, our fund-raising projects this year.
