These early pre-preparatory years are vital in a child’s development. We foster a love of learning through fun and varied activities. The statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) has 6 areas of learning. Each area offers opportunities to explore, challenge and experience through a wide variety of activities.
By the time the children reach Key Stage 1 (KS1) they have developed socially and emotionally into confident, enthusiastic and happy members of the school community. They have reached a good standard in basic skills with a solid acquisition of language and an understanding of numbers and their relationships. They should also understand about the world and people around them and have experimented creatively with a variety of media.
