Year 2 visit to Buckingham Garden Centre

In conjunction with their study of Plants and Growth, Class 6 enjoyed a visit to Buckingham Garden Centre on Thursday, 11th May.

The children developed their knowledge and understanding about plants used for ‘sensory’ gardens, and were also able to plant their own beans to bring back to school to care for and observe as they grow.  They learned about providing suitable habitats for wildlife, fed the koi carp and were delighted to actually stroke the hens and hold eggs that were laid that very morning.
