Weymouth 2018

The 8s and 9s enjoyed a fantastic few days away in Weymouth where the sun shone down on us. Sand World and the Sea Life Centre were
our first ports of call where the children enjoyed learning how to make sand sculptures and got to look at the wide variety of underwater animals!

We were even lucky enough to walk along the promenade and have a great time enjoying the sandy beach. The children challenged themselves at
the PGL centre and conquered some fears. They zipped down the zipwire; traipsed through the tunnel trail and built sea monsters on the beach
to name but a few activities…

Class 4 Trip to Pizza Hut

Earlier in May Class 4 had a lovely trip to Pizza Hut to experience first hand the joys of making their own pizza! The children had fun learning about pizza cookery and choosing their own toppings, plus of course polishing off the results for lunch.

Poetry Slam – 22nd March 2018

Our annual Poetry Slam took place on March 22nd, with Mr Mark Niel, the Poet Laureate of Milton Keynes, hosting the event.  Year 6 pupils were involved in a masterclass with him during the day and had the opportunity to write and perform their poems based on the theme ‘Heroes and Villains’.

The children voted on their favourite performances, with eight pupils chosen for the final in the afternoon, in front of the preparatory department.  The quality of the poems and performances was excellent. Very well done to all finalists!

It was a fantastic and informative day!
